FL Fab Works was contracted by Axecel Construction to remove and replace the existing glass rail that no longer met building code for Galen College of Nursing in St. Petersburg, Florida. The owners of the building decided to update the look of the building with our custom cable railing system. We completely removed the old glass railing, wrapped the staircase with new break metal, and capped it with new 42" welded cable railing with required grab railings to bring the space up to code and give it a fresh look. One of the benefits of going with an all welded cable rail system is maximum strength and durabilty. All of the aluminum framework for the railing is powdercoated with an anodized silver finish. The powdercoat finish is shock and chip resistant and is great option for high traffic use and durability.
All of the stainless cable assemblies and fittings are fabricated with 316 marine grade stainless. The cable railing system allows for maximum visibilty without the hassle of having to clean glass, and meets all Florida building codes for commericial and residential applications. The turnaround time for our scope of work was 8 weeks from start to finish. The clients have reached out and we are working on a new upcoming project for the same clients.
